The USNCO, or U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad, is a competitive program aimed at high school students in the United States to challenge and enhance their understanding of chemistry. It begins with local and regional competitions where students participate in exams. Those who excel move on to the national level, where the top performers are selected for a rigorous study camp. From there, four students are chosen to represent the U.S. at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO). The competition not only aims to foster a deeper understanding of chemistry among students but also provides an opportunity to engage with peers and professionals in the field on both a national and international stage.
